1929 Ford Roadster Pickup Nowadays you see a lot of vintage roadsters but not many pickup roadsters. You see even less cars that are done in the stock style to reflect what you may actually see cruising down the road over 70 years ago. This 1929 Ford Roadster Pickup is one of those nicely done classics that reflects the originally style that Henry Ford was designing "back in the day." The aftermarket cab is all steel and is very roomy compared to the standard open pickup. The body is very straight and coated in Burgundy with nice white pinstriping that looks great. All of the original style chrome bumpers are in place along with chrome door handles and more. An aftermarket chrome windshield is in place and can be folded out. When it was restored the truck received all new fenders and a reproduction steel hood. The front fenders are steel and only the rear made in fiberglass. Splash aprons were also added. The steel hood has the stock side louvers which aide in getting some heat out of the engine bay but also look great. To accommodate the larger cab the bed was shortened to maintain the correct proportions and exterior look. In the woodgrain bed is the authentic antique trunk which has plenty of room for whatever you may need. The car comes with a hydraulic jack, gas additive, a Model A Ford Service Bulletins book, Model A Carburetor Manual, Model A Owners Manual, a stack of Model A The Restorer magazines, and a Model A Lubrication Chart. All of this will easily ride in the trunk for whenever you need it. The original style taillights and headlights are on the car with the headlight bar coated in matching Burgundy. The truck has a nice stance and rides on a set of 16" yellow wire wheels with chrome center caps. The two side mount spares along with the four wheels were all sand blasted and nicely powder coated. This makes for a nice clean look that isn't likely to chip like some paint would. The radial tires are practically new so don't worry about replacing those anytime soon. The motor in the car is an inline ford that is primarily in the stock condition and mounted on Float-a-motor engine mounts. The car runs very well and is extremely fun to drive. The carburetor, radiator, water pump, clutch, and rear end are either brand new or entirely rebuilt. The radiator is wrapped in a chrome shell that looks great. The gas tank was entirely removed, cleaned, and then sealed before being driven. The electrical system has been entirely converted over to a 6 volt system. It has nice bright lights with a newly installed ahooga horn. The steering gear box is out of a 50s F150 and was entirely rebuilt using NOS gears and bearings. The 4 speed transmission is also out of the F150 and was entirely rebuilt professionally in Fort Worth, TX. The tubular shock absorbers were nicely added for a smooth ride. The interior is nicely done and in good condition. The dash is nicely painted and topped with a vintage style chrome all in one gauge. The steering column is coated in Burgundy and topped with a nice 1931 Model A steering wheel. The tall shifter comes through the floor and is nicely mounted next to the original style clutch, gas, and brake pedal. The seats are like new and very comfortable. It is wrapped with Brown vinyl that match the door panels. As mentioned before the interior is nice and roomy. This is a great feature for this age of cars which are typically known for their cramp spaces. You will love cruising around town in this car and it will get you anywhere you want with no problem. With the convertible roadster top it can keep you out of the weather or let you feel the wind in your hair. It can easily been raised and lowered with no problems and takes very little time. It gets attention everywhere it goes and everyone loves it! This classic Roadster is being sold at the great price of $17,250.00!
