1962 Cutlass F85 Convertible If your in the market for something unique then look no further. You have ran across a classic that is practically right off the assembly line with only 19,148 ORIGINAL miles. Nobody wants to pull up at a stoplight next to the exact same car they have but we can guarantee that's not going to happen in this classic. This cool 1962 Cutlass F85 Convertible has a great look with awesome body lines. When is the last time you've ever seen one, if you even have? The car is coated in Cirrus Blue which looks great paired with the completely new White ragtop. Not only is the top new but the cylinders and hoses are brand new as well. This car is extremely cool as is but with some custom wheels, etc it could be one top notch custom. It has great looking trim and chrome that are perfectly placed on the car. The rear bumpers wrap around the sides and the front looks to feed into the side trim. All the correct emblems are in place including the F85 "rockets" in the rear. All of the electrical on the car works just as it should and is all in place. As with a lot of these classics the chrome side mirror is only found on the drivers side in the original style. This is a Texas car and even still has the Dallas dealer emblem on the rear. The car has a great stance and rides on steel wheels with the original style hubcaps. What of the most unique features on the car is actually found under the hood. The 215 V8 runs very well and is an all aluminum motor! People spend tons of money dropping light weight engines in their dragsters but here is one that came from the factory. The engine was recently pulled and detailed out. This involved power washing not only the block from top to bottom but the entire engine compartment. Once cleaned the engine compartment was coated in a slick layer of Black that finishes of the look very well. Being an aluminum engine it has been left unpainted because the bare metal looks great. It is also topped with a chrome air cleaner that has a nice shine. All of the wires and electrical under the hood is wrapped and mounted to complete the clean appearance. The Roto Hydramatic transmission was recently rebuilt and has an all aluminum case as well. Most would probably recognize the name "Slim Jim" more than Roto Hydramatic. In Oldsmobile style the gear indicators read "P-N-D-S-L-R" with reverse in the bottom position. Like in earlier models the S actually stands for Super but actually only shifts through second instead of 1 through 3. These are very interesting transmissions with the shift from 1st to 2nd feeling drawn out although it is actually correct. Until the fluid pressure is internally built up the transmission doesn't shift which creates this feel. The interior on the car is nicely finished out in Silver and Black vinyl that looks great. The bucket seats have all the correct chrome trim that is nicely mounted. They are extremely comfortable and separated by the original center console. This houses small lights on each side, the chrome shifter, and an extra storage compartment. The dash is all original with all the correct knobs and switches. The bottom half is coated Silver with the top in Black. The original AM radio is not only in place but still works like new! Everything works on this classic and everything is in place. Here is your chance to own a rare little classic for a great price. Whether it is going into a collection or you are just looking for a weekend cruiser this convertible is right for you. Get it today while its still around! You won't find another unique convertible like this for only $12,900.00!
