1968 Ford Mustang Coupe In 1968, Ford combined some of the greatest features in the past models to create a great new look. It has a different appearance up front and the popular 67 look on the rear panel. Working turn signal indicators are now in place in hood recesses and are an example of the new styling signatures. The 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe you see here is in beautiful condition and runs very well. It is coated in a nice dark Blue that really pops next to all that chrome. One look at this car and there is no doubt why the Mustang is always brought up when discussing American Muscle. It has a great stance and sits on a set of 16 Eagle alloys with Falken rubber. The two door body was built for speed and this classic is no different. This 68 is a very FAST car with its Stroker 347 - 464 hp small block based off the popular 289. Just being a Stroker 347 isnt enough because it still has to be built with the right stuff. Well check out the table below and you will see there were no corners cut here: ENGINE BREAKDOWN Full SCAT component rotating assembly Edelbrock Performer RPM heads Edelbrock Performer Intake Victor Jr. water pump 750 CFM Holley 4 barrel Crane performance hydraulic roller cam (part 369541, grind HR-216/325-2S-12) stud mounted rockers 1.60 matched roller lifters and springs This little pony will surely take you for a fast trip to the store and back while laughing at the competition. There is a MSD ignition system that is tunable, performance oil pump windage tray and a Milodon 8 qt racing oil pan down stairs. The block has upper and lower stiffeners added for strength. The C-4 transmission was completely rebuilt and a 2500 stall convertor was added to match up to the engine cam requirements. The chassis has a set of frame connectors, sway bars (front and rear), and fully adjustable coil over front shocks for a outstanding handling package. This car drives like a dream and handles the tightest of corners with minimal body roll. The rear end is a Ford 8 with a Detroit Locker Posi unit with 3:70 ratio. Slowing to a stop is no issue with Ford disk brakes on the rear end and SSBC 11 disks on the front for maximum stopping power. The calipers have been custom painted to match and look great peeking through the polished rims. The interior is clean with new color matching seat covers that look great. The bucket seats are very comfortable as is the bench in rear. A 5 channel speaker system is in place as well as a Kenwood deck, Rockford Fosgate components and sub-woofer. Now you can take your time on the way to the next show and enjoy your favorite tunes along the way. Hope in and youll wrap your hands around the after-market steering wheel and see the stock instrumentation giving you vital signs on the cars performance. Look closely though and you will notice a small tachometer has been custom inserted to fill the clock opening. The dash has been painted Blue and with the dash pad has a two tone look to match the seats. The trunk has been nicely done and houses the stereo components as well as a spare wheel. This is a cool classic being offered up at $43,250.00!
