1972 Chevrolet Chevelle for sale in Arlington, Texas

$39,500

If your into muscle cars but tired of the same ol' thing cruising around then you clicked on the right ad. Chevelles are among the most popular cars driving around nowadays but this one is a little unique. You won't see any racing stripes on this classic because that wouldn't be custom. Instead this 1972 Chevelle is coated in black with some awesome multicolored flames. The paint was all custom laid down by B&S Auto with Joey Hutson as the graphic artist. The hood has just the right scoop and is graced with the cowl induction emblem. The cowl is in working shape and not locked down like you see in some cars. The chrome front and rear bumpers have a great shine and are mounted right in place. The fenders are lined with chrome trim that looks perfect against the black and are in great shape. The round taillights along with the headlights are all working as they should with no problems. SS emblems have been added to the car for looks only. The car runs very well and rides on a set of American Racing Hopster wheels and comes with extra rear wheels that are wrapped in slicks. The floors were just replaced and the car is entirely rust free. If you though this thing was a cruiser you better guess again. It packs a punch and has run a 7.53 in the 1/8th mile. That doesn't mean it gets abused on the track though because it only has done 3 runs purely for fun. With those times you can bet there is a little extra under the hood. Lift of those flames and you will be greeted with a 454 Big Block V8 that cranks out around 520 horsepower. The engine was done right and is broken down in the table below. Not only does it run well but was finished out extremely nicely. You can tell this wasn't just thrown together by looking at all the quality work that went into its build. All of the lines and hoses are braided and are mounted very nicely in place. You wont see loose wires flopping around on this car. The performance heads are topped with blacked 454 Chevrolet valve covers with go great with the Edelbrock finned air cleaner. There is tons of chrome everywhere you look and is very nice. The car has an awesome sound with electric cutouts to provide an even deeper tone when you want it. You have to hear it to believe it so check out this video. The 700R4 Phoenix transmission has a shift kit plus 3300 stall converter and is practically new. It only has around 100 miles on it and is still under a 2 year warranty. Bear disc brakes have been added up front to aid in stopping and is one of the nicest systems around. No corners were cut on the suspension where you will find Global West control arms and QA1 coil over shocks. Ported GM performance heads Holley 950 EFI system w/ported intake MSD Ignition K&N Air Intake Stainless steel fuel and transmission lines Comp Cam 248/254 Duration @ .050 .560/.580 Lift CC Pro Mag Roller Rockers RPM Rev Limiter Vacuum Pump and Canister Dual Diaphragm chrome master cylinder 2300 rpm @ 70 mph The interior on the car is completed in black and is very nicely done. The highback Carbeau bucket seats are extremely comfortable and look perfect in the car. Between the seats you will find a B&M Pro Rachet shifter with line lock that operates just as it should. The dash is primarily left original except for the added AM/FM/CD aftermarket stereo. The white faced Autometer gauges are cleanly mounted to the dash and look right at home. The Grant chrome steering wheel looks great in place and is correctly mounted. On the steering column you will also find the Autometer 6000 rpm tachometer with shift light.
